The unpleasant situation in Hong Kong still persists even after the Extradition Bill was retracted by Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam in early September. Again, we strongly condemn all form of violence cases and those disruptive activities that destroy the valuable facilities and infrastructure of Hong Kong, needless to say to those extended negative impacts that affect the daily life of most of the Hong Kong people as well as to the normal business operations. We all hope Hong Kong can return to peace and everyone can live and work in harmony as soon as it can be.
Back to the activities of our chamber, we have organized the third trip for the GBA series on August 16-17, visiting Dongguan and Guangzhou with good response from members. Please stay tune to our website or event flyer on the next function for the GBA series to be held in October.
Besides those monthly regular events, our International Committee had hosted the Belt and Road Networking Reception Cocktail on Sep 12 as our event around the TDC’s Belt and Road Week. I hope all participants would have good interaction with overseas guests both on business ideas / opportunities exploration and on new knowledge inspiration.
Our early bird offers for table booking for our 17th Anniversary Dinner to be held on December 4 will expire on September 20. If you still haven’t booked the table, please do it immediately so as to enjoy the early bird rate!
Mid-Autumn Festival has just passed, but it is never too late for me to wish you all a happy festive weekend with your family and loved ones. Last, I truly hope the situation in Hong Kong will get better in the coming month.
